I don’t think people are exhausted because they work too much

“Hey, good morning! Happy Friday! How’s it going?” …“Good, just busy. Yeah, busy and tired.”
I hear it all day long. Don’t you? Did you just reply that way to someone? Got ya. I bet you did.
I think people are exhausted because modern life asks us to perform constantly while rarely feeling deeply seen.
We are exhausted because we answer emails, texts, attend meetings, hit our deadlines, scroll….scroll some more…still scrolling, we optimize and ultimately, we produce.
Doing all these things is great, but the human soul can only work for so long without feeling seen.
That’s why I keep coming back to this idea of agape. And FYI, I’m not going to stop! The journey is just beginning here. All aboard the agape train.
I keep coming back to how do we slowly start to change who we are from the inside out so that we aren’t these emotionally depleted, invisible, pseudo robots?
We need a daily practice that will change the hearts and get into the SOULS of our society. We need to notice people again, seek to know them on a deeper level, acknowledge them, praise them, and show up to serve them with a humble and open heart.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t think our world needs better AI prompts. I believe it needs more humans who care deeply about their fellow human.
I’m so passionate I wrote a book about it…
See. Praise. Serve.A Daily Practice for a Better World
